Several witnesses describe seeing an altercation in the car between Mr. Brown and Officer Wilson. It was described as wrestling, tug-of-war. Several other witnesses described Mr. Brown as punching Officer Wilson while Mr. Brown was partially inside the vehicle.
I regard it in fact as the great advantage of the mathematical technique that it allows us to describe, by means of algebraic equations, the general character of a pattern even where we are ignorant of the numerical values which will determine its particular manifestation.
The interesting thing about Hain is that hes not a very interesting character. Hes not fabulously clever. Hes not a great policeman. Hes not hugely charismatic. Id describe him as a kind-of Chekhovian character. Hes an ordinary bloke, to whom extraordinary things have happened. Which is quite hard to play, I have to say.
