I play guitar, the ukulele and the piano. I grew up on a mountain in Tennessee, and we had The Mountain Opry, where anyone could just get up on stage to perform. It was just about the soul and heart of music. My upbringing was less about being great and more about just doing what you love. It was always for joy.

A lot of people in our industry havent had very diverse experiences. So they dont have enough dots to connect, and they end up with very linear solutions without a broad perspective on the problem. The broader ones understanding of the human experience, the better design we will have.

I think everyone understands grief, the journey it takes us on, whether its the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, a disappointment. Some people dont deal with it, the power of it. Some do. Some feel the weight of it and it informs their choices. Ive had to open up to grief in different contexts.
